Google+ as a Recruitment tool? – We think so

Google+ as a Recruitment tool?
CV Screen have been doing some analysis on Google+ to see what the likely impact could be in terms of recruitment. The beauty of the site is the circle and how these could be used to target specific clients or specific candidates.
As an example, all the recruiter needs to do is search for PHP developers and then create a circle for these candidates. Over time, you can then send targeted messages to this group / circle of potential vacancies. At this stage there is limited information on Google+ in terms of the profile of each individual but surely over time users will be encouraged to fill out more details (as Facebook have done).
The benefit for the candidate will be that they will potentially be able to have a few recruiters in an IT Recruitment Circle and therefore their employers wouldn’t be able to see that staff are seeking work.
We as an agency have never seen Facebook as a tool for recruitment, whereas Linkedin is obviously one great big CV database for recruiters – our thought is that Google+ could enable users to make the crossover between the work social network and the home social network in one hit.
